FSWO offers a series of events and training sessions throughout the year.
Join us Friday morning for one of the signature events of the 2026 FSWO Annual Training Symposium—the FSWO Annual Awards Gala. - Sponsored by OnStar
This special morning brings our fire service community together to celebrate the people, partnerships, and achievements that continue to move Fire Service Women Ontario and the fire service forward. We’ll recognize outstanding individuals and organizations, celebrate the accomplishments of the past year, and honour those whose leadership, dedication, and support are making a difference.
As Canada's first female infantry officer, Sandra Perron has built a remarkable career defined by leadership, resilience, and breaking barriers. Drawing on her experiences in the Canadian Armed Forces and as the founder of the Pepper Pod, she shares powerful lessons on leading through adversity, building resilient teams, and creating inclusive workplace cultures. With a special connection to the fire service through her father, who served as a Canadian Armed Forces Fire Marshal for more than 40 years, Sandra's inspiring keynote will resonate with firefighters and leaders at every stage of their careers.
After a full day of sessions and hands-on training, join us for one of the most anticipated events of the Symposium.
This year, FSWO Unplugged will be led by Sara Luther, Founder of Forwardworking, a professional leadership facilitator known for creating engaging, interactive experiences that bring people together. Sara will guide us through a fun and lighthearted evening designed to spark conversation, strengthen connections and, of course, share a few laughs along the way.
With music throughout the evening and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s the perfect opportunity to unwind, share stories, reconnect with old friends, make new ones and celebrate an incredible week together.
The evening will also feature our Live Auction, the conclusion of the Silent Auction, exciting draws and prizes, and plenty of opportunities to connect with firefighters and fire service professionals from across the country.
A complimentary supper will be served.
Whether you’re attending your first Symposium or your fifth, FSWO Unplugged is the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable week of learning, connection, laughter and friendship.
