The Fire Service Women Ontario 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of Board Officers and Directors will be held virtually on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 7 pm. For those members who wish to attend and exercise their vote for the election, you must register in advance no later than Monday, February 9, 2026 by 7 pm by emailing registrar@fswo.ca.
A Zoom link invitation to the AGM will be sent out to all those who have registered on Tuesday February 10, 2026.
Voting in the Election of the FSWO Board
The FSWO By-law states that you must be an Active Member in good
standing (your membership paid in full) to be able to vote on Board
matters at the AGM.
Membership information, fees and payment can be accessed at fswo.ca. We remind you to submit your application and fees for membership as soon as possible to ensure your application can be processed and approved in time so you can vote at the AGM.
Members who cannot be present at the meeting can send their vote by proxy. Members who wish to vote by proxy are asked to provide the name of their proxy by email to registrar@fswo.ca by Monday, February 9, 2026 at 7 pm.
Please note a proxy may not be required for the election of Board Members if the member can submit their ballot within the prescribed time period (generally a 12-hour window on February 11, 2025).
Call for Nominations for the FSWO Board of Directors
FSWO will be holding an election for the following positions this year:
-5 Directors-at-Large
-1 Student Director
The Directors-at-Large shall serve for a term of two years and the Student Director shall serve for a one-year term.
In order to be eligible to run in the election, you must:
1) Be a FSWO member in good standing;
2) Be 18 years of age or older;
3) not have been found under the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992 or under
the Mental Health Act to be incapable of managing property; and
4) not been declared incapable by a court in Canada or in another country.
Please complete and submit the Nomination Form no later than Wednesday, January 14, at 7 pm.
