As a direct result of Susan Jones’ persistent encouragement, Fire Service Women Ontario was born. Susan saw the need for an organization that would offer support, education and empowerment for women in, or considering, a career in the fire service. Susan served on the board of FSWO as a director for 4 years as the Communications Director. She helped to create the organizations by-laws and constitution and provided constant assistance with communication support. FSWO has grown with her support and it would be fair to say that Fire Service Women Ontario would not exist today without Susan’s determination!
