Following another successful symposium in Mississauga in 2026, FSWO is looking forward to bringing its annual event to Oshawa for three days of training, leadership development, mentorship, and networking.
The FSWO Annual Training Symposium has become an important event for fire service professionals from across Ontario, Canada, and beyond. Each year, the symposium brings together firefighters, officers, instructors, and fire service leaders to share knowledge, develop skills, build meaningful connections, and support one another throughout their careers.
The 2027 symposium will continue this tradition, offering a diverse program of hands-on training, educational workshops, leadership sessions, and networking opportunities. Designed for individuals at every stage of their fire service careers, the event provides a welcoming environment where participants can learn from experienced instructors, exchange ideas, and strengthen their professional networks.
FSWO is proud to partner with Oshawa Fire Services to bring this event to life. The support and involvement of host fire departments play an important role in the success of the symposium, and FSWO looks forward to working alongside the Oshawa team to deliver another exceptional experience.
Beyond training, the symposium is about building community. Mentorship, collaboration, and creating opportunities for women to connect with others who share similar experiences remain at the heart of FSWO's mission. The event also welcomes allies and fire service professionals who are committed to supporting leadership, professional growth, and a stronger fire service for everyone.

Planning is already underway, with exciting opportunities for instructors, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees to get involved.
The Call for Instructors and Sponsorship Opportunities will open in January 2027.
