In conjunction with notice emailed to all members on January 11, 2025:
FSWO is holding a Special Members Meeting to adopt an updated by-law
as recommended by the FSWO Board of Directors. The revised bylaw ensures
that FSWO fully complies with Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations
Act.
All members of FSWO are entitled to attend to vote on the adoption of the by-law.
The members’ meeting will be held virtually on Zoom on
January 22, 2025
7 pm
Members who wish to attend the meeting can register by emailing registrar@fswo.ca. Those registered will receive an updated copy of the by-law for review.
Members wishing to vote by proxy if not able to be present for the vote can forward their proxy in writing to president@fswo.ca by January 20, 2025 at 7 pm. Please include your full name, the name of the motion (Bylaw Motion), and your vote (Yes or no).
Preview Notice of Annual General Meeting:
Under the provisions of the current bylaw and anticipated ratification of the new bylaw, FSWO will hold its Annual General Meeting and Election for Officers and Directors on March 19, 2025, at 7 pm.
The number and positions available for election will be confirmed by the FSWO Nomination and Election Committee after the special members meeting on Jan 22/25. The nomination process will be shared at that time. Members wishing to attend the AGM can register by sending an email to registrar@fswo.ca.
