High Angle Rope Rescue

This 8-Hour High Angle Rope Rescue Operations training prepares responders to execute rescues in challenging environments like cliffs, buildings, or steep terrain. Participants learn advanced techniques for safely ascending, descending, and traversing vertical surfaces while utilizing mechanical advantage systems to efficiently overcome gravitational forces. The training covers rappelling, pickoffs, patient packaging, and rescue techniques to securely extract individuals in distress from elevated locations. By participating in this course, participants will have the opportunity to attempt some high-angle rescue skills with precision and safety, ensuring effective patient care throughout the rescue process. This training will allow participants a quick glimpse into some skills captured in the 1006 Rope portfolio.

Mark Musclow is a highly experienced Training Officer in Hamilton, bringing over 20 years of expertise in emergency response and instruction. Currently, in his 12th year with Hamilton, combined with Training Officer in Brampton prior, Mark has been honing his skills in various rescue disciplines. Specializing in Technical Rescue, Mark excels in High Angle Rope Rescue, Water and Ice Rescue, and Hazmat operations. His extensive experience and proficiency in these areas make him a valuable asset to any instructional team. Mark’s dedication to training and his vast instructional experience contributes significantly to the preparedness and effectiveness of emergency responders under his guidance.
