This 4 hour Vertical Vent Enter Isolate Search (VEIS) course is a critical firefighting tactic used to swiftly rescue trapped occupants in a structure fire by entering through a window, isolating the room from the fire, and conducting a search. At HFD’s unique live fire facility, firefighters can practice VEIS in realistic live fire scenarios to simulate authentic rescue situations. This hands-on training allows firefighters to hone their skills in navigating hazardous environments, performing rapid rescues, and ensuring victim safety.
