NFPA 1033 - Fire Investigator - REGISTRATION CLOSED

This course is online for 8 weeks followed by 3 days of in-class and fire ground learning activities. It is a blended course and covers all investigative competencies associated with NFPA 1033, 2014 edition, including scientific method, Origin & Cause, building construction, scene safety, scene re-constructions. All aspects of assessing & investigating fires and adheres to NFPA 921.

2 OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT

OPTION 1 -- $90.00 +HST (+ full $495 symposium fee ). This option will include all lunches, evening events and symposium sessions

OPTION 2 -- $200+HST. This option includes lunches but no eveing events or symposium sessions)

**Both options can be paid through the FSWO online store


Textbook required for the course: IFSTA 1033, 2nd edition. This textbook can be purchased from the Firehall Bookstore in hard copy or electronic copy.

To register for this course you must be a member of an Ontario Fire Department. You must be a fire officer or a firefighter with a minimum 5 years experience.You will be required to complete the online portion of the course (8 weeks) in advance of the in-person class session.

In Class Sessions: Wednesday Oct 19, 2022, 8-5pm
Thursday Oct 20, 2022, 8-5pm
Friday Oct 21, 2022, 8-1pm

Exam Friday Oct 21, 2022, 1-4pm

To be officially enrolled in an NFPA course, you must:

1. Pay the $65 NFPA course fee AND the FSWO Symposium fee ($495)
2. Complete the FSWO Registration Form and email it to registrar@fswo.ca
3. Complete the Ontario Fire College Form with your chief’s authorization and email to registrar@fswo.ca by June 10, 2022 at 11pm.

4. Be a FSWO member

1. Pay the full NFPA course fee ($200)
2. Complete the FSWO Registration Form and email it to registrar@fswo.ca
3. Complete the Ontario Fire College Form with your chief’s authorization and email to registrar@fswo.ca by Aug 2nd, 2022 at Noon.
