24 years in the fire service, a very proud member of The City of Toronto Fire Services. I started on a small rural fire service and gained employment shortly after in the city. It seemed I was constantly being asked to assist individuals to become firefighters. I found the “science” of recruitment and interviews challenging and extremely interesting. 5 years of in depth research in recruitment produced models for interview prep, resumes, cover letters and habits successful candidates use. To date I and my mentor partner have assisted over 130 individuals achieve their dream occupation.
