  • October 25, 2025
  • 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Queen Elizabeth Community and Cultural Centre -- 2303 Bridge Rd, Oakville, ON L6L 2G6

Facilitated by Dr. Joy MacDermid & Dr. Robin Campbell Bromhead

This research workshop is an opportunity for women firefighters to lead the direction of health research for their community. In firefighter health research studies, women firefighters are significantly underrepresented, and their unique health needs are not always taken into consideration. During this session, you will be provided an overview of past and ongoing women firefighting health research, the opportunity to identify gaps and needs in women firefighter health research in Canada, identify priorities for women firefighter health research and the resources needed to address them, and provide input into the development of a national women firefighters’ health research network.
