Forcible Entry Techniques for Commercial Doors -- HOT

This hands-on, rotation-based session gives participants the opportunity to practice a variety of commercial door forcible entry techniques using real-world props. Rotations include conventional inward- and outward-swinging doors, through-the-lock techniques for modern lock cylinders, and multiple methods for forcing padlocks using both conventional tools and saws. Designed for all experience levels, this class builds practical skills and confidence for real-world forcible entry operations.

This Class would be spread out over 4 rotations:

Rotation 1- Conventional Inward

-Students would get to force real inward swinging doors.

Rotation 2- Conventional Outward

-Students would get to force real outward swinging doors.

Rotation 3-Through the Lock

-Students would get to pull multiple different lock cylinders of different modern locks.

Rotation 4- Padlocks

-Student can force multiple padlocks with conventional and saw methods.

All students will require full bunker gear including gloves and safety glasses.

Andrew Brassard

Andrew Brassard began working for the Milton Fire Department in 2000. He has sat at the kitchen tables, instructed, and ridden on the rigs with some of the best departments in North America. He has taught for Take the Door Training, the Fire Department Training Network, Spartan Rescue, FDIC, and countless other conferences. Because of his vast experience, passion for the job, and continued pursuit of education, Brass offers a very insightful broad and detailed perspective of the job and the service. He was awarded the Medal for Firefighter Bravery for risking his life in a dangerous house fire to rescue a child.
