Ladder Confidence - HOT

  • October 26, 2023
  • 1:00pm-5:00pm
  • FESTI - Fire & Emergency Services Training Institute 2025 Courtneypark Drive, East, Mississauga

Facilitated by Acting Captain Jess Clermont

This class is all about sets and reps. The more you practice a skill, the more competent you will become, and competence breeds confidence. We will review basic ladder carries and throws (including high and low shoulder), roof ladder deployment, and various ladder tricks I’ve picked up throughout my career. I’d like to end the class with the “One Firefighter 35ft Ladder Challenge” (optional). This challenge comes from Battalion Chief Nick Martin of Combat Ready Fire Training. Come join us for a half day of ladder basics in a judgment free environment, because “making mistakes is better than faking perfection”.
