Train Like an Athlete

This course reviews athletic principles to apply to tactical strength and conditioning training for women in firefighting. Theoretical concepts will be applied, including practicing exercises pertaining to strength, balance, agility, and plyometrics. Upon completing this course, you will be able to better plan your strength and conditioning sessions to improve workout efficiency, physical performance, and resiliency. My goal is to help you train smarter, and safer, so that you can achieve your performance goals and enjoy longevity in the fire service.

Participants should wear: Athletic attire (including socks), running shoes

Natalie Botzang

Natalie is a volunteer firefighter and registered nurse, with over a decade of work experience in the strength and conditioning field as an NSCA CSCS. She is keenly interested in bolstering women's performance training by helping them develop and maintain their athleticism and physical resilience throughout their lifespan.
